Crime RP Weapon Identity on a FiveM Server
How to give FiveM gangs and crews a visual weapon identity: themed packs, loadout rules, jamming, and a black market that makes the guns mean something.

Players should be able to tell who they are looking at before anyone talks. Clothing does some of that work. Guns do the rest, and only if crews are not all holding the same rifle from the same shop.
One look per crew
Give each serious crew a short list, not the whole catalog. A family crew carries older, heavier guns. A street crew carries compact guns that work in cars and apartments. A crew that "uses whatever is best" will look like every other crew by Friday, because what is best becomes mandatory.
Mafia A and Mafia B exist for this. Each one is 10 addon weapons in its own colors: A in red, blue, green, black, and white, B in yellow, orange, brown, pink, and purple, with extended mags and 50- and 100-round drums. They sit beside a general arsenal like V6. V6 is what the black market sells to people without a crew. The colored guns are what a crew earns, issues, or smuggles.
Rules that create the look
Write three limits and enforce them in the inventory where you can:
- Crew guns stay with the crew. Dropping one in a public sale is a character problem with a real item loss.
- No duty weapons in criminal hands unless a scene produced them, and those get serials, heat, and a reason for police to care.
- Heavy classes stay scarce, using the same bands as the balance guide.
A crew loadout of pistols and one rifle reads as a crew. A crew loadout of every suppressed rifle in three packs reads as a donor menu.
Scenes around the guns
Identity needs play. A shipment, a theft, a sit-down where someone shows up with the wrong color and everyone notices. Malfunctions belong in that same world. Kyros Gun Jamming gives each weapon a jam chance that climbs as durability drops, then a short minigame to clear it. Pristine crew guns should almost never fail. A neglected rifle that clicks in a doorway is a scene. A jam on every magazine is a bug, so set the chances and then leave them.
Police still need to look like police when they arrive. The duty loadout is the other half of the silhouette. If both sides use the same models, the scene is just a shootout in matching coats.
A second color set
A pink set can be a character or a crew of its own. The Female pack is 15 pink-themed guns with the same job as the mafia colors: a silhouette people recognize, at the same power as the class it belongs to.
Let the city learn the silhouettes
Do not announce the lore in a Discord embed and call it done. Use the guns in scenes for a week. When a new player can say "that's their rifle" from a clip, the identity is working. Until then it is a rule. Rules become culture when the models back them up.
