Weapon Pack Subscription vs Buying Outright
When a FiveM server should buy a weapon pack, grab the bundle, or run a Kyros pass: what you keep, what updates cost, and how to decide for a long-running city.
Kyros2 min read
There are three ways to arm a server with Kyros, and they fit different timelines. Buying the wrong one is how owners either overpay on day one or rent an arsenal for a city they already know they are keeping.
Buy a pack when you know what you need
A single pack is a permanent grant on your Cfx.re account. Weapons Pack Set V6 is the one most cities start with: a full standalone arsenal, framework item files, and lifetime updates through the Cfx.re Portal. You download fixes later from Granted Assets. You do not keep paying for that pack to stay yours.
Buy one pack when the theme is narrow. A police-focused city might start with the duty packs. A crime server might start with V6 and add a mafia set later. The stacking guide is how those coexist.
Buy the bundle when you are outfitting the whole city
The all-packs bundle is the one-time version of "we want the lineup." It is the 12 current packs in one purchase: V1 through V6, Police, Female, Airsoft, Mafia A, Mafia B, and Melee, 260 addon weapons. This is the launch purchase for a server that already has a framework, a staff team, and a date.
If you are still in soft launch and might throw the concept out, do not start here. Prove the city runs, then own the arsenal.
Subscribe when the lineup should grow with you
The subscriptions are access while the plan is active, with new drops included during that time. Four passes, current prices on that page:
- Mini Pass covers every mini script.
- Script Pass covers every full script, minis included.
- Weapons Pass covers every weapon pack.
- Complete Pass covers weapons, scripts, and minis on one plan.
Cancel anytime means the plan fits a season, a test, or a server that wants every new pack without a second purchase decision. It is a poor fit for a city you intend to run for years on a fixed budget, because ownership and a subscription are different products. A pack you bought stays granted. A pass is there while you keep it.
A simple way to choose
- One arsenal, long-term city. V6, then themed packs as you need them.
- Whole weapon lineup, launch budget. The all-packs bundle.
- Trying a concept for a month or two. Weapons Pass.
- Weapons plus the script stack. Complete Pass.
- Only the small QoL tools. Mini Pass, or the individual mini scripts.
Updates, either way
Owned packs update from the Portal for life. Passes include what ships while the plan is active. Neither one requires you to rebuy V6 every time a weapon is added to it. Read the changelog on the product page before you ensure an update on a live city, and keep a backup the way the ops guide describes.
Pick the option that matches how long the server will exist. The guns are the same. The license is the decision.
